Pure Pot Still is the traditional method of production of Irish whiskey. Today only Midleton Distillery produces Pure Pot Still Whiskey. The ingredients are water and barley, with the characteristics of a Single Pot Still is the use of both malted and unmalted barley in manufacturing. The whiskey is tripledistilled in traditional copper pot stills. The storage takes place in American oak barrels.
Nose: Nutty and spicy aroma with hints of lemon and a weak tone of sherry and vanilla. Feels fresh.
Taste: Creamy with hints of orange, vanilla and a touch of marzipan.
Finish: Long with spicy and delicate creaminess as well as a really nice vanilla.
Overall impression: A really nice Irish whiskey that I can recommend.
